Asean ASEAN stands for "Association of Southeast Asian Nations", which is a political and economic organization of countries in Southeast Asia. It was founded on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand. ASEAN aims to promote political, economic, and social cooperation among its member countries. Member countries of ASEAN: 1. Brunei 2. Cambodia 3. Indonesia 4. Laos 5. Malaysia 6. Myanmar 7. Philippines 8. Singapore 9. Thailand 10. Vietnam ASEAN is headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia. The organization works to promote regional stability, economic growth, and cultural exchange among member countries. In addition, ASEAN establishes dialogue and cooperation with many other countries and organizations, including important global players such as India, China, Japan, South Korea, and the United States. The main objective of ASEAN is to strengthen partnership and mutual trust among its member countries so that they can work together for common interests.
