On January 2, 2025, a small plane crashed into the roof of a commercial building in the southern Californian city of Fullerton, killing two people and injuring 18 others. The accident occurred at 2:09 pm, damaging the building of a furniture upholstery manufacturer called Michael Nicholas Designs. Firefighters and police immediately arrived at the scene and doused the fire and evacuated nearby businesses. Ten of the injured were hospitalized, while eight were treated on the spot. The type of aircraft could not be confirmed, but it is reported that it crashed shortly after taking off. Security camera footage shows the plane burst into flames as it collided with the building.
